From this advertisement, I can acknowledge the fact that the people that produce the Tatler magazine are aspirers and succeeds, that are rich, modern and are very familiar with the "posh" life. In this ad, they show people that are very wealthy and superficial.
The writer chooses to introduce the magazine by stating that the magazine is "fabulously targeted" she, later on, stated that the magazine is only made for richer and wealthier people. This shows that it is a pricier and a more upper-class magazine
Demographics
Gender - 73% female
ABC1 - 83%
AB - 51%
Average age - 41
London/se - 70%
Tatler readers take fashion in a high consideration as they believe it is important to look good and because of this they spend a high amount of money on the clothes they purchase
Tatler sells different editions such as a wedding, school, travel and beauty guides. This suggests that Tatler likes to look out for their readers as they have a wide variety of content.

The editor has chosen to use a serif font for the title. This gives a clear indication (to whoever views this) that Tatler is being run by a person of a high profession and it gives a more sophisticated feel to the magazine.
Sanserif is used at the sides of the page cover. It adds subtly to the magazine and it offers a younger feel. Also, the words used on the cover lines draws the audience into the magazine as it offers a range content to keep the reader enticed
The editor has chosen to use that particular image for the magazine as the bold eye makeup and the eccentric hairstyle catches the audiences eye. Also, the clothes that the model is wearing could be considered as a bold statement and could potentially catch the eyes of the richer people that take fashion into a high consideration, especially clothes that are not necessarily common.
Representation
The people represented on the cover (within the cover lines) are people of a rich and fortunate life; obviously higher class. The cover lines give a sense to the reader that the lives of the rich are very eventful yet simplistic; potentially because they do not go through any majorly difficult situations due to the high amount of money in their possession
Although, the cover lines may be used to build on the stereotype that rich peoples priorities are not valid and they only care about the well being of themselves and social status. This is indicated by the cover line ‘ who’s at the top of everyone’s party guest list (and who’s at the bottom)’
The misinterpretations of this magazine it that Tatler tends to focus on the younger generation and use younger models within their cover, which is a bit surprising as the average age to read this is 41. And that is not necessarily shown on the cover of this magazine.
The producers want the public to read about and experience the modern lifestyle. Things that they might of not necessarily experienced before. However, some members of the public might stray away from reading the Tatler magazine as they might believe that the magazine doesn't relate to their current lifestyle as much as other magazines.
Social and Cultural Context
Although Tatler has a wide range of content to interest their readers, the producer chooses to not reflect the lives of the more "mainstream" and middle-class people.
The special issues that Tatler offers, (spa breaks, holidays, cosmetic surgery etc..) suggests that London is quite glamorous and the people here live a luxurious life.
This cover alone can have a negative impact on the female audiences. This is clearly shown phrase "trophy wife" can make people feel like the producers of this magazines believe its okay to objectify women. Also the cove line "Are you a slut?" can potentially make women feel uncomfortable and a little bit targeted as words like "slut" can put women under a negative light, whether it is intentional or not.
