WWW: Fundamentally, you have two solid case studies here that clearly show an understanding of the exam CSPs across all four key concepts. The points where you engage with media debates – such as the representation of women – are the stronger sections and they are the areas we need to build on.

In the article 'Tab Calling time on Zoella' the writer starts with the title "Calling time on Zoella, the 27-year-old woman-child who needs to let go" the phrase "woman child" is used to highlight her childish, juvenile act that she puts on while filming her videos. They also touch on the fact that she over prices her products. In the article it states that people will call her "scammella" as her £50 advent calendar is not worth its high value. It could be argued that she is taking advantage of the fact that her fans will do anything for her, like purchasing expensive products. Going back to her age, the article talks about how they believe that its weird that young children from 6-13 are watching a 27 year old do things that young teenagers would do such as Primark shopping hauls, and makeup looks.

Being a YouTuber has allowed Zoella to become very popular and well known. She has 12 million subscribers on YouTube with 1,094,403,577 views overall, she also has another channel called "MoreZoella" which doesn't have as many subscribers but still has a considerably high follow count.

Zoella will wear young, fashionable clothes. she also has a pretty background with fairy lights. just like in the most other YouTube videos, she uses quirky and non-copyright music (like what I mentioned before).

Zoella makes a lot of money through YouTube, however, that is not her only source of income. Zoella also has a makeup line, which she launched in 2014. She has also released a book  
a digital influencer is someone that recommend or promote certain products to her fans. Zoella would be considered as a digital influencer. this is because she has promoted or recommended certain products to her fans, such as glossier. Companies will pay Zoella to mention their products in her videos. This is because she has a lot of fans meaning that more people will be persuaded to purchase their products. This also helps Zoella because she gets paid meaning she can invest in better video equipment, expand her makeup line and publish more books. 

Originally Zoella just did blogs, she has now moved on to Youtube and other social media sites. This makes it easier for her to contact fans.



Audience

Zoella aims her videos at preteens and teens - the younger generation. This links the point that I made in one of the previous paragraphs about her dressing quite young. This will make her audience feel included, as if they can relate to he (even though she is an adult). Over time, the audiences will build a personal relationship with her.

In regards to Stuart Halls reception theory, some people will find Zoella's work oppositional. One of the main reasons would be that she isn't behaving has she truly is, she puts on an act almost. This could be disheartening to some of her fans as they would feel like she isn't as genuine as she says she is. However, the preferred reading of this would be that she is someone her fans can relate to. Her videos involve topics that people of a young age will usually talk about or be interested in.

Although people look up to Zoella, there have been a few things that she has been criticised on such as filming while driving, not being honest about her ghostwriter and previously being offensive to certain people on social media 




Representations

I believe that Zoella is a positive role model for young women. Zoella has become a world wide phenomenon who earns a large amount of money each year. The fact that she is a self made business women is very inspiring for young women. Zoella is showing that women can be strong and independent. This counteracts the usual stereotype that women depend on others to be successful .

Zoella presents herself as a fashionable and fun person, however, it could be argued that she acts way to young for her age. 

Statement of intent. 

I plan to make a brief science fiction film that will be 1-2 minutes long, I will be using long shots of my main character, medium shots, medium close up and a big close ups to add a dramatic feel to the situation - to add suspense.

I will attempt to subvert the stereotype that girls are usually the “damsel in distress”  and I will make her the hero of our movie. Although she will face a few challenges, she will overcome them later on in the video.

I will be filming this video behind d block, in a natural setting. I will also be using my phone to shoot this video as I believe the quality will be much better

This game is available to download on tablets and phones, you can download this on the app store and google play. This game includes in-app purchases that allow the game to make money. VIP subscriptions are also another way that they make a profit.  This game is set in Hollywood along with other glamorous states in the US. 

The target audience for this game would be people of a younger generation, the generation that uses social media more. This is because they are most likely to follow Kim on different social media platforms, fans maybe. This game would be mostly directed to those people as they are probably already fans of Kim 

Educational and relationship. This is because I’m this game you have to build a relationship with Kim herself, you also get to have a rough insight into how celebrities live. This game could potentially be addictive as it is constantly coming out with updates that include new concepts 3) Why is the game so addictive for audiences?

James Liu stayed that he believes the game Is such a huge success because Kim is a very huge influencer anthe publisher has a large network of consumers who play their games. 
Kim, herself, also promotes the game on her social media such as Snapchat and Instagram. Convergence was used when she advertised the game on the well-known show, “keeping up with the Kardashian’s"

I’m this game, women are presented as very feminine. The women are always dressed in high fashioned that are often very revealing. Also, the body types given when you create your character aren’t really varied. This could potentially imply that you have to have a certain body type to be a successful woman. Fortunately, the game includes a very wide range of skin tones used to personalise your character. This game also has settings made to suit your personal preference. Things like making characters based on the gender you are attracted to are put in place to make the character comfortable.
